11/17/20 Update: In accordance with new restrictions issued by the City of Philadelphia, and in support of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 throughout the community, the Parkway Museums District museums are temporarily closed thru January 1, 2021. We encourage you to support our non-profit institutions in other ways during this season of giving, so that they can emerge from this period and welcome visitors in the new year. Note: be sure to check out their individual websites (accessible on our "Museums and More" link) and their social media for info on their extensive virtual program offerings.
Stretching from City Hall to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia's grand tree-lined Benjamin Franklin Parkway is flanked by some of the city's most acclaimed destinations. Visitors to the Parkway Museums District will discover a cultural mecca with world-class museums and educational institutions, the magnificent Swann Memorial Fountain, Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Logan Square and the world-famous "Rocky" steps. Treasures and discoveries abound on (and just a few blocks off) the Parkway!
