Pennsylvania Horticultural Society

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is a statewide organization that engages, trains and empowers people who want to learn about gardening, and encourages them to transform their communities through greening.

  • Philadelphia International Flower Show

The Philadelphia International Flower Show is America’s premiere horticultural event, providing inspirational and informative displays and edutainment for hundreds of thousands of people from around the world each March.   The Show includes plant and floral display, landscape displays, educational displays, lectures and satellite activities.

  • Philadelphia Green Program

The Philadelphia Green Program brings people and partners together in order to transform communities and improve people’s lives throughout the region. The Program includes Parks, Public Landscapes, Community Gardens, Tree Plantings, City Harvest and Youth Environmental Stewardship.

  • Parkway Projects

In addition to maintaining the landscapes at the Logan Square and the Azalea Garden behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art, PHS is partnering with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Park to coordinate the work around one of the Parkway’s premier attractions, the Rodin Museum. The project, designed by Olin Partnership and the Art Museum, will involve landscape and site improvements to the Rodin’s garden and surrounding areas, including new walkways, curbs, lighting, benches, trees, and plantings.

  • McLean Library

PHS’s McLean Library has 15,000 books on gardening and plant care, botany, urban greening, and more, including a circulating collection of books and videos for PHS members, and historic, rare gardening books and seed catalogs from the 16th-20th centuries.
